Learn about Rae Gaffney and her role in Sales

It was Rae Gaffney’s basketball background that unexpectedly led her toward her career here at Clorox. “I played basketball my whole life and all through college,” says Rae. “I was definitely at the crossroads, wondering if I should try to go play overseas or jump into my career full time. So, I was like, ‘Let’s see how this internship goes.’” 

Currently a customer team leader for our Burt’s Bees brand, Rae was an intern at Clorox not once but twice, first as an undergraduate and then again when she was getting her MBA, before joining us full time more than five years ago. “The internship experience really made me fall in love with this industry.”  

Her love of sports has had an influence on her professional goals. “I wanted a career that had a team aspect, but also where I could still lean into my passion for competing and utilize my love for math, data analytics, and people,” Rae says. “This meshes all my passions together. We’re so consumer first. We’re always thinking of ways to be better, thinking of more ways to meet consumers’ needs.” 

Competitiveness that carried over from the court drives Rae at Clorox, too. “I want to continue to be pushed and challenged,” she says. “I think Clorox and my mentors here have really provided me with great guidance so I can stretch and grow. I want to be the best all-around businessperson I can be.”
