The following additional disclosures only apply to job applicants and supplement our general Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect, Use and Disclose
If you apply to a job posting, we collect information necessary to process your application or to retain you as an employee. We collect from various sources, including:
- Directly from you. We collect information you voluntarily submit to us in connection with your application for employment, including through the completion and submission of online application forms, through resumes or CV, or through interviews or other communications.
- From Other Sources. In addition to the information that we collect from you directly, we may also receive information about you from other sources, including third parties. Examples of third-party sources include employment screening agencies, background check agencies, recruiting agencies, service providers, former employers and/or schools and educational institutions, and publicly available information on websites or social media (e.g., when applying through LinkedIn, where relevant for recruitment purposes and allowed by applicable law).
The following table describes the categories of personal information we collect and the categories of recipients to whom we disclose such information for our business purposes.

Some of the personal information we collect is considered “sensitive personal information” under California law. We collect the following categories of sensitive personal information (as defined under California law): social security, driver’s license, state identification card, or passport number; account log-in, in combination with any required security or access code, password, or credentials allowing access to an account; and racial or ethnic origin, or union membership. This information is collected in order to process your application, evaluate you in the recruitment and hiring process, including to assess your eligibility for available positions; and to comply with legal obligations (e.g., health and safety, anti-discrimination laws). Note that we do not use this information for any purposes that are not identified within the California Privacy Rights Act Section 1798.121.
We do not “sell” or “share” personal information, including sensitive personal information, about job applicants for purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising.
How We Use Information
In general, and subject to applicable law, we may use personal information about job applicants in the following ways:
- To process your application.
- Manage your relationship with us (e.g., facilitating meetings, communicating with you, providing you with requested information).
- Contact (including by email) you or others on your behalf about suitable job opportunities as they may arise.
- Contact references with your authorization.
- Conduct background checks with your authorization.
- Evaluate you in the recruitment and hiring process, including to assess your eligibility for available positions.
- Conduct internal analyses to understand the job applicants and/or candidates who apply and to improve our recruitment process, including our diversity and equal employment opportunities efforts.
- Comply with legal obligations (e.g., health and safety, anti-discrimination laws).
- For any other purpose identified in our Privacy Policy.
